UX Strategy
All the twists and turns in a customer’s journey from online and offline touch points need to be considered. Thoughtful UX considers how customers will move from each conversion point on their journey to become a happy customer and eventually into a raving fan.
Business Strategy
In order to pull off a beautiful UX, a company must be aligned on its’ goals. Business Strategy collects all the information that we know about the customer and goals, and lays the blueprint for how to achieve them through UX. Differentiation is key at this stage, and the basis for every design decision will map back to achieving these objectives. This makes space for the team to explore multiple various solutions that solve the problems at hand and test into a winning solution.
Business Strategy allows:
- Get to know your users
- Allocate proper resources to achieving desired results
- Sets us up to measure success
- Gives us a blueprint to guide decision making
Business Strategy components may include:
- User Challenges
- Business Objectives
- Design Criteria
- SMART Success Metrics
- Experience Maps
Value Innovation
Value Innovation is the edge that brings together the core elements of differentiation into a user-oriented experience like no other. Carving out space in a market that is unsaturated, your brand can stand out and compete on value, instead of on price. Identifying opportunities that create differentiation in a way that provides value for both buyers and the company is the way to surprise and delight the audience. Uncovering these key features can only be done through continual testing and redesign and speaking direction to the audience
Value Innovation answers the questions
- What hasn’t been thought of yet?
- How could we balance newness with cost-effectiveness?
- How can we give our customers more?
Deliverables may include:
- Trend Analysis
- Key Feature Recommendations
- Disruptive vs Sustaining recommendations
- Process Recommendations
- Cross Department Integrations
User Testing
Though a staging site, we work out any friction points in a safe environment. We bring in real people to validate any assumptions and gather unbiased feedback. Through several checkpoints during the process, we invite users to check the builds, try to break it, and identify any other, ask for opinions, check for weaknesses, and address them before launch.
User testing is important because:
- Identifies and gaps or friction points in the build
- Validates assumptions
- Eliminates biases from those building the products
- Optimizes the value your products provide.
User testing may include:
- User Interviews
- Usability Testing
- Surveys
